Born and raised in South Wales, Michael trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where he was the winner of the Welsh Musical Theatre Young Singer of the Year Competition.
West End theatre work includes The Choir of Man at the Arts; The Secret Garden at the London Palladium; and the 30th anniversary cast of Les Misérables at the Queen's. Other work in theatre includes The Choir of Man at the Tampa Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Adelaide Festival and Niagara Avalon; Oh, What a Night! on UK Tour; Sweeney Todd with both the Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra and Welsh National Opera; Walk Like a Man at Kilworth House, the Blackpool Grand and on UK Tour; The Mikado at Chiswick Playhouse; Merrie England at the Finborough; the Welsh premiere of The Last Five Years at the Swansea Grand; and three seasons at Europe's largest Christmas show, the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, where he sang for HRH The Prince and Princess of Wales.
Workshops include Rasputin: Ripples to Revolution; and My Land's Shore.
Television includes Prynhawn Da; and Dechrau Canu, Dechrau Canmol.
Recording includes Songs of Sexuality; As Long as I Have Music: The Songs of Eyles & Gould; The West End Goes MAD for Christmas!; the original soundtrack recording of Evil Urges; and the original studio cast recording of My Land’s Shore.
